Horror Film Festivals
Most of these take place in October, vying for your attention around Halloween. Most of them also have a screenplay competition attached - check the individual sites for details.
- Chicago Horror Fest - Illinois' finest (September)
- Eerie Horror Fest - based in Eerie, PA (October)
- New York City Horror Film Festival (October)
- Shriekfest - in Hollywood, CA (early October)
- Screamfest - based in and around the famous Grauman's Chinese Mann Theatre, also in Hollywood (early October)
